b'Voices from LUSOs VideoContest: How Creativity canChallenge RacismFor the past 12 years, LUSO Community Services has harnessed the creativity and voices of childrenand youth to spark meaningful dialogue about racial discrimination. Through our annual Video Contestheld in recognition of the International Day to End Racial Discriminationstudents are encouraged toreflect on the impacts of racism and envision a more inclusive future.On March 20th, 2025, LUSO hosted the awards celebration at Museum London, where more than 300community members gathered in solidarity. The evening was filled with energy and inspiration, featuringdynamic performances by 519 School of Hip Hop, the moving harp melodies of Alexa Yeo, and akeynote address by Sunday Ajak that reminded us all of the urgency of this work.This years contest theme, Racism Hurts Us All, challengedstudents to highlight the far-reaching consequences of discriminationand to inspire collective action. The submissions received werepowerful, creative, and deeply movingproof that todays childrenand youth are ready to lead change.
