Young Entrepreneurs Put Education into Action at Family Centre Argyle

This summer, LUSO’s Literacy program launched an exciting new initiative: the Young Entrepreneur Club! Designed to put education into practice, the club gave youth hands-on experience in planning, budgeting, and running their very own fundraising stands. Demonstrating incredible initiative, participating youth even chose to create and contribute their own 3D-printed items alongside fresh lemonade, baked goods, and handmade trinkets to boost their fundraiser.

Thanks to the generosity of the Argyle community, our young entrepreneurs raised an amazing $640! Every dollar raised goes directly back into LUSO Community Services to fund free programs for local children and youth, creating an inspiring cycle of youth empowerment and community investment.

Seeing neighbours show up to encourage these self-driven young leaders demonstrated the true power of community in action. We are so proud of our youth for taking the lead, building real-world confidence, and proving that with hard work and local support, big ideas can make a meaningful difference.
