Basic Needs & Community Support PDF Print E-mail
The Boullee, Huron and Kipps Lane area is home to many families who are high-risk, low-income and very diverse in terms of their racial, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.

This program is designed to help the community build on it strengths, assets and define its goals.  The main goal of the program is to coordinate services in the area. A Basic Needs & Community Support Coordinator assists local residents to develop programs and services, encourage community participation and assist with leadership development.  By working with residents and agencies we develop a coordinated, planned, community based approach to service delivery.

Some of the services offered include:

  • Emergency Baby Food and Diaper Bank
  • Neighborhood Clothing Cupboard
  • Social Support Groups
  • Skill Development Activities
  • Summer and March break Breakfast Program
  • Advocacy, referrals and Information
  • Northeast Food Depot (in partnership with the London & Area Food Bank and with the support of various community partners)
